New cure for the snow days

After reading the Barney article about Network Technology, I couldn't help but look outside and think of something that could potentially help all the Iowa roads on this snow day. As noted in the article, technology has helped many situations and groups of people throughout history. We can not undermine the role of technology.
In a case I found online about new technology it shows how it prescribes ends and solutions to a current problem.
Nobody enjoys shoveling or plowing, but it seems to be one of the only ways to get snow off the roads; until technology stepped in. Researchers and scientists have created the first solar- powered 'smart' roads.
These roads would be able to heat up and melt the snow as soon as it hits the pavement by using the suns solar energy. American spends billions of dollars every year on snow removal but after installing these roads these problems and costs could literally melt away. This is just another example of how technology continues to improve and create solutions.
